We are proud to present our speciality: the fabrication of steel structures. Our state-of-the-art production hall is equipped with the very newest machinery and tools. We produce structural steel for the agricultural, commercial and residential sectors and we also fabricate pipeline bridges.
Our beam assembly line is located at the start of the fabrication process. Sections such as I- beams, wide flanges and channels are cut to length and drilled according to specification in preparation for the transformation into beams and columns. The beam assembly line is CNC-steered by the drawing office. Other profiles such as round pipe, square tubing and angles are cut to length on smaller equipment more suited to the handling of small pieces of material.
With this type of equipment we produce details such as base and end plates, stiffeners and brace plates. This machine is also able to handle angle and flat bars to shear and punch wind braces. As with the beam assembly line, this equipment is also CNC-steered by the drawing office. This direct line of operation means that errors are reduced to a minimum.
Plates which are too thick or too intricate to be handled by the shear and punch machine are cut by our plasma cutting machine. This new and sophisticated machine is specifically designed for the fast and efficient cutting of steel, stainless steel and aluminium plates varying from 3 mm to 60 mm. Additionally, this machine is fitted with a 3D rotating head enabling it to cut plates at all possible angles. It is capable of cutting ‘true holes’, meaning that the side of the holes are perpendicular to the surface of the plate.
After the plates are fitted to the beams by means of tack welding at the required positions, the final welding is done by our EN 287-1-certified welders. Our welding procedures conform to EN 15614-1. We perform two inspection rounds: one after the fitting process to ensure accurate positioning of all connection plates and one after the welding process, to guarantee high welding standards and finishing.
The final step in our fabrication process is the conservation of structural steel. Our customers decide what is required – hot dip galvanizing, powder coating or zinc phosphate coating. In the case of powder and zinc phosphate coating all RAL colours can be applied. The zinc phosphate coating is applied in our own paint shop. At the end of the production process the material is made ready for shipping and loaded onto our trucks for transport to the site.
