Hanse dates back to 1907. In that year Mr. Hanse started manufacturing and repairing wagons in Sirjansland, a little village near the location of the current company. The following years saw the small company grow and develop, until it eventually became a blacksmith’s, used mainly by the agricultural sector.
After the Second World War, plumbing and the installation of coal and oil stoves was added to the main business. Various household articles like pots and pans, and even linen, were also on offer. At that time, a blacksmith was the town’s handyman and often had a small store. In the sixties, the company started specialising in central heating systems. Plumbing services are, however, no longer offered by Hanse.
The Company has moved to Nieuwerkerk and is specialised in steel fabrication. Hanse offers not only complete, turn-key building, but also the basic structural steel for the interior or exterior of a building. In these cases, a building contractor takes care of the rest of the project. In addition to this, Hanse also offers renovation services.
